♥ Weekly News Round-Up: Aug 5th - Aug11th

Hello all! Welcome to this week's news round-up. It's been a pretty incredible week with all sorts of great things going on. I've had some wonderful reviews, and even my weird little Sci-fi Historical Romance has been receiving some love.

I want to say a big thank you everyone who's taken the time to not only read my books, but to leave a review, whether on Goodreads, Amazon, their website, or anywhere else. I truly appreciate it. Not only do your lovely words bring encouragement, but your feedback is always noted, and helps me take the next steps in improving my craft. If you ever have any questions, want to know about any WIP, or just want to say hi, please feel free to leave a comment here on my blog, facebook, twitter, wherever you like. I don't bite, and if you like biting, well, you'll have to at least buy me a coffee first. ;)

On a side note: If anyone's bought The Auspicious Troubles of Chance from Amazon and fancies leaving a review on there, I would be eternally grateful. Chance keeps sitting on the 300k rank like he's settling in for the winter, so I'm trying to figure out how to kick his pretty keister higher up the rankings. Maybe it's his grumpy puss scaring people off. I knew that cheeky fella was trouble from the start.

Wonderful 5 Sweet Pea review from Pippa over at Mrs. Condit & Friends Read Books for The Auspicious Troubles of Chance. Just reading Pippa's opening sentences was enough to have me smiling silly all day.

5 stars from Gennie Gee over at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews for The Auspicious Troubles of Chance. As soon as the review goes up, I'll post it here, but she had some absolutely wonderful things to say about it, so stay tuned!

♥ My short story In His Corner has been accepted by Torquere Press for it's annual Charity Sip event!

I'm very proud to have my romantic little 1920s boxing story join the host of other stories written by all those other great authors, and all for a good cause. The stories will be available as a complete package, as well as individually, with all the contributing authors donating 100% of the royalties to NOH8, and Torquere Press matching the authors' donations. So stay tuned for more on that soon!

A Rose by Any Other Name, Book 2 in the Fallen Rose series (Book 1 being Roses in the Devil's Garden) is coming along nicely. I've had a few folks asking about Julius' book, so I thought I'd post a little update, and yes, Harley and Nate will make an appearance. Hopefully I'll be wrapping it up soon, so stay tuned for more updates.

August 24th-26th, I'll be taking part in the Follow the Rainbow Book Reviews Blog Hop. Visit their page here if you want to take part or to view more information.

Birthday Bonanza!

With my birthday coming up--as well as Remi's, I've started putting together a little virtual birthday party with a host of prizes up for grabs! There will be free eBooks, Vintage style goodies, and more! The birthday bash will run from Aug 16th-Aug 18th midnight, so plenty of chances to drop by and comment. You can see a few of the prizes on this post here.

The newest addition to the list of prizes is this exclusive Amethyst Cat Caper 11oz ceramic mug, designed by little ole me. More prizes to come soon!

It's a wraparound design, so whether you're right-handed or left-handed, you'll have a lovely, purpley image.

Just click on the picture for a larger image.

So that's everything for this week's news round-up!

Hi Sue! Thank you so much. It was a very nice week. Did a lot of crafting. Designing the mug was really fun. I have a few other design ideas, so we'll see what happens. ;)
